C.J. Gaddis Scouting Report

CUTigers.com member Kieth Smith, otherwise known as mctiger44, had the opportunity to watch Clemson verbal commitment C.J. Gaddis in action this past weekend. We asked Keith to provide us with a scouting report, and he came through with some great indepth analysis on one of the top quarterbacks in the southeast.

C.J. Gaddis Profile

CUTigers.com member Keith Smith had the chance to watch one of the nation's most exciting quarterbacks in C.J. Gaddis (6'1, 200, 4.45) this past weekend. Here are some of Keith's thoughts from his evening in Raeford, North Carolina.

"I went to Hoke County and got a look at C.J. Gaddis. He is everything that he has been built up to be. I have watched some of the top athletes out there, including Syvelle Newton, and he is just as good as Syvelle," said Smith.

"Gaddis has a rocket for an arm and can run like Woody. He can shake players out of their shoes. The first play from scrimmage he faked the option pitch and took it 80 yards for a touchdown. Another play he rolled to his right and threw a 50-yard strike on the run, which was unbelievable," added Smith.

Gaddis, who is known around the country as a dual threat quarterback, has just as potential in the passing game, as he does on the ground. "He has great a field presence and throws everything with one of the tightest spirals you will ever see. This kid has all the tools and is super fast."

"I for one was kind of upset about hearing that Newton might be leaning to South Carolina, but after seeing Gaddis tonight it has sure eased my pain. This kid is the real deal and I can now see why Coach O'Cain is so high on him."

"This guy is ready for Clemson and from what I have seen tonight, Clemson is ready for C.J.," added Smith.

Gaddis, who committed to the Tigers back in early July, will be in Clemson this weekend for the Tigers' match up with Ball State. It will be his first time in Clemson for a football game.
