DT Brandon Thompson Profile

College recruiters have filled the halls of Thomasville High School (Ga.) over the past few weeks to check on star defensive tackle Brandon Thompson, including the Clemson Tigers.

"Coach Koenning came by from Clemson," Thompson told CUTigers.com in a recent interview. "I wasn't there that day so I didn't see him.

"But a lot of schools have been coming by. Clemson, LSU and Georgia have all come. Georgia Tech and South Carolina came by the other day. Louisville and South Florida have also been here."

When asked about his current leader, Thompson responded, "Clemson is still my leader."

A commitment could come any time over the next few weeks.

"I am going to make my commitment before the end of the month. I just plan to call the coaches once I am ready," said Thompson.

What are the chances the star defender will commit to the Tigers when he makes his commitment later this month?

"It is a pretty good chance," replied Thompson. There are several things that have Clemson at the top.

"I just like the atmosphere at Clemson. I love the crowds there and the people I have met," said Thompson.

Several top programs have offered the 6-2, 285 pound prospect over the past month.

"I got offers from Georgia and Alabama. Then I just got offers from Georgia Tech and South Carolina. I went down to Alabama. I liked it too. They made me feel welcome when I visited," stated Thompson.
