College coaches have filled the halls and practice fields at Habersham Central (Ga.) the past few weeks as teams have made their final push for wide receiver Tavarres King.

"Stanford and Georgia came by last week," King told CUTigers.com Wednesday evening. "LSU and South Carolina have been by as well. Clemson came by this week too."

The Clemson coaching staff, has been trying to make a strong late move to convince King, to look once again at the Tigers.

"Coach Bowden, coach Napier and coach Swinney all came by from Clemson Tuesday," said King. "That went good."

King said he plans on announcing a verbal commitment Friday at his school.

"I have already made my decision," he said. "I made it about a month ago. I just kept it under wraps. About three or four weeks ago I decided I would go ahead and schedule an announcement so I can get all of this behind me.

"I am planning to make my announcement Friday at 3:30 in my cafeteria."

Is King relieved now that the decision had been made?

"I won't be relieved until I announce my decision. I am ready to focus on my senior season. I am ready to get all of this behind me," replied King.

The King family is also comfortable with his decision.

"They feel pretty good about it," he said. "They wanted to leave me at a program with good coaches where they can trust them to take care of me."

Clemson and Georgia have been the two schools at the top of his list in recent weeks, with Georgia holding the slight edge.
