How has the combine gone for you today?
Pugh: "I am loving it man. It is the first Elite 100 that they have had and I was fortunate enough to be able to come to qualify. There is a lot of great talent out here. It is a good chance to test my skills. I have had a lot of fun. I am learning a lot of technique from the coaches."
Which schools are you hearing from at this point in the recruiting process?
Pugh: "Well I have been offered by Clemson. I have been offered by Georgia. I have been offered by Georgia Tech. I have also been offered by Duke, East Carolina, Marshall and the University of Maryland. I am looking to make a decision at the end of May."
Have you made your decision yet or are you still working on it?
Pugh: "No, everybody is still in there. We have a few more things that we need to checkout. I need to look at academics and some athletics. Then we will make our decision and I can focus on my senior year."
Have you narrowed it down to a top three or top five?
Pugh: "I am thinking it is between Maryland, Clemson, Georgia and Georgia Tech right now."
What will be important to you when you make that final decision?
Pugh: "I just want to find a great program. Winning attitude, coaches that are going to be there and of course great academics."
How important will it be in your decision that you have a couple of former players from Independence at Georgia?
Pugh: "That is important. I didn't know those guys since I moved down here afterwards, but I got a chance to talk with Joe Cox and Mohamed Massaquoi. They love the school so of course that is going to have an impact on my decision."
Do you plan to take any other visits before your decision?
Pugh: "I am going to probably go back up to Tech and some of these schools for a second look. I want to make sure I didn't miss anything and make a good decision."
