Dawgs Offer Jarrod Britt

Jarrod Britt continues to feel the heat from schools throughout the southeast. This time it hits close to home, as the Georgia Bulldogs moved in with a formal scholarship offer. How is that commitment to Clemson University holding up now?

Jarrod Britt, one of the top offensive line prospects in the state of Georgia and a Clemson verbal commitment, recently added a scholarhip offer from Georgia to his resume. How do the Tigers stand now?

"I don't want people to think he has chose Clemson because Georgia didn't offer. They did during the end of August. But he's coming to Clemson. Jarrod stands firm with the Tigers" said Jarrod's father Don Britt.

While the recruiting merry-go-round continues in the Britt household, Jarrod has gotten off to a fast start this year for McEachern High School.

"His last game against Marietta he had eleven pancake blocks. People are talking about how Georgia didn't offer him earlier because he is a guard, but everyone likes him as a left tackle, including Clemson, Florida State, and Tennessee," said Mr. Britt.

While some Clemson fans are already penciling in Britt in the two deep next season, his father would like to see him redshirt. "Ideally, Jarrod at Clemson after a redshirt year should be able to contribute. The message boards always talk about a true freshman playing and I think physically I can have him ready, but a system as complex as that one takes time to learn."

The Britt family went to the Louisiana Tech game two weeks ago, but they were unable to make the Georgia Tech game Saturday, "We couldn't go last weekend to the game because of my schedule, but we are going to attempt to make several more trips up there this year," added Mr. Britt.

We will continue to keep you updated on Jarrod Britt throughout the season, but as it stands now, the Tigers have themselves one outstanding offensive lineman on the way.
