Bowers Now a 5-star

Clemson verbal commitment DaQuan Bowers has now moved into Scout.com's top 20 rankings and has been desiginated a 5-star prospect.

Scout.com has started the ranking process of the Class of '08 along with a new National Top 100. Scout.com has ranked the top 25 players at all positions and will continue to add individual prospect rankings this week along with the release of all the regional Top 100s.

It's mid-June and Scout.com has officially begun the ranking process for the Class of 2008 today. Currently ranked are the top 25 players at each position, along with a revised National Top 100. Deeper position rankings will be done later today and completed Tuesday. Scout.com will revise all rankings on the 15th of each month from now through National Signing Day in February.

Scout.com will eventually assign five stars to the top 50 prospects in the nation. Four-stars will be assigned to the next 250 rated recruits. Currently, Scout.com has assigned 40 five stars and 200 four stars to 240 prospects meaning we will add the remaining five and four stars over the coming months in future ranking releases.

In addition, all the regional top 100s have been revised. Tomorrow the South Top 150 will be unveiled, while the Midwest and Midlands will be released on Wednesday, the Southwest and East on Thursday, the West on Friday and the first ever Scout.com Top 300 will be released next Monday.
