LB Ebele Okakpu Profile

6-2, 205 pound linebacker prospect Ebele Okakpu made an unofficial visit to Clemson on Saturday.

"I really liked it a lot," he said. "The visit started around 8 AM. They showed me around the coach's office. They showed me where the players meet.

"I didn't get to meet with coach Bowden. I mainly met with coach Rumph who is recruiting me for Clemson. I also got to meet some with coach Powell."

One of the highlights for the 4-star linebacker was seeing his jersey number.

"The last thing they showed me was the No. 2 jersey in the Clemson colors. That is my number and they said I could have that number if I come to Clemson," said Okakpu.

When asked about his current favorites, Okakpu responded, "They are all pretty much the same. I don't really have a favorite."

After visiting Clemson, the Georgia standout headed North for another visit.

"I went to visit North Carolina after my Clemson visit," he said. "That went pretty good. I went on a campus tour which I really liked. I didn't get to meet Butch Davis. I got to see pretty much everything. I got to walk around on the field."

Although the top linebacker does not have a list of favorites, he does plan to make a decision in the next few weeks.

"I hope to have a decision by the end of this month," said Okakpu.

Okakpu was an all-state performer as a junior, recording 121 tackles along with three interceptions.

He is currently rated the No. 13 middle linebacker prospect in the country by Scout.com.
