4-Star LB Delaying His Decision?

The Clemson Tigers are battling another ACC Atlantic Division rival for one of the top linebackers in the country. And yes, he's another 4-star prospect giving the Tigers a hard look. CUTigers.com has the latest in this recruiting update.

LB Terrell Manning Profile

6-3, 205 pound linebacker Terrell Manning told CUTigers.com earlier this week he will listen to his coach and take a few more visits before making any sort of decision in the recruiting process.

"Right now my coach wants me to take a few more visits before I make my decision," he said. "He wants to make sure I am making the right decision. I am going to take a few visits."

Two ACC Atlantic Division schools are battling for the star linebacker.

"I am trying to pick between two schools right now. Those two schools are Clemson and North Carolina State," said Manning. "It is a hard battle. I have no idea who I would pick right now."

There will be two more visits before the prize recruit makes his decision.

"My coach wants me to head down to Florida and Tennessee. I don't know when we will go yet. It will be sometime this summer. After I make those visits I will be ready to make my decision," he said.

Clemson assistant coach Billy Napier is working hard to convince Manning that he should be running down the hill in Death Valley in 2008.

"Basically, he tells me they love me and need me at Clemson," Manning said. "They love how I play. They are not just talking about how I can play, but also about how they will have good players in front of me to make my job easier. They have some great defensive lineman already committed."

How will the 4-star linebacker make his final decision?

"I want to go where I am going to be the most effective on the team when I first arrive," replied Manning.
