DE Quinton Coples Profile

Kinston (N.C.) standout Quinton Coples has not been on any visits the past few weeks, but that is about to change.

"I haven't been on any visits lately," he said. "I had to postpone them. I am going to wait until sometime in August.

"Right now I am going to take some official visits and unofficial visits in August and September. I am going to take official visits to Florida, Florida State, Ohio State, Michigan and probably Tennessee. I am going to use my official visits to travel to the schools that are farther away."

Clemson will be one of the schools to get an unofficial visit.

"I am going to take a visit to Clemson. It will be an unofficial visit. I will also take unofficial visits to North Carolina State and North Carolina," said Coples.

Which schools are recruiting Coples the hardest right now?

"Clemson, Tennessee, State, Carolina and Virginia Tech are right now. It changes some," replied the top defender.

A verbal commitment will come once Coples has completed all of his visits.

"After I take my official visits and my unofficial visits then I will be ready to make my decision," said Coples.

What will the star defensive end consider when selecting his college destination?

"I just want to see how they make me feel. I want to make sure they are going to take care of me. I want to make sure I get my education. I will focus on making sure I can graduate. My first goal is to graduate," replied Coples.
