Parker Proves He is One of Nation's Best

Clemson commitment Kyle Parker recently returned from the Elite 11 camp in California where he competed with the best quarterbacks in the nation. Parker goes on the record with to discuss the trip and much more in this recruiting update.

Clemson verbal commitment QB Kyle Parker recently spent four days on the left cost after being selected to participate in the Elite 11 camp.

"It was awesome," he told of his trip. "I went out there by myself. I was out there for four days. It was a great experience." What was a typical day like for the nation's best quarterbacks?

"In the morning we had practice from like nine to 11. Then we would come back and have some talks. We went to the beach one day. We also went to a mall one day," he said.

The Florida standout showed that he belonged with the best quarterbacks in the country.

"We had an accuracy competition where we had to throw at targets. I came in second place on that. They said I had the second strongest arm out there. They said I had the quickest release and was the second most coachable," said Parker.

The top quarterback will be bringing one of Clemson's top remaining targets with him when he comes up for the Florida State game on Labor Day.

"I talked to Jamie about two weeks ago. We are going to go up for the FSU game," Parker said.

Current and future teammate Xavier Brewer is also looking real good according to Parker.

"Xavier is doing real good. He has gotten a lot stronger. He has really been working hard this summer in the weight room," said Parker.

The Bartram Trail (Fla.) standout is looking for good things this fall.

"I feel real good," he said. "I have a good feeling. Have a lot of our offense cleared up. All the players have been working hard. We will see how it goes." Top Stories
