CB Janoris Jenkins Profile

4-star cornerback Janoris Jenkins will make a long awaited trip to Clemson over the weekend. Earlier in the year Jenkins had named the Tigers as his leader, but has since backed off any leaders.

"I am still coming this weekend," he said. "I am coming up with my coach. I am also bringing one of my teammates who is just a junior. He plays receiver."

The South Carolina Gamecocks will get the first visit.

"We are going to South Carolina first on Friday. We are spending the night in Clemson on Friday night. We will be visiting Clemson on Saturday," said Jenkins.

"Then we are staying in Clemson again Saturday night. We will come home on Sunday."

Is there any chance he could pull the trigger on a commitment during one of the weekend visits?

"No, that is out of the question. I plan on waiting," replied Jenkins.

A talented two-way player, Jenkins helped lead his team to the Class 2B state title as a junior. He finished the regular season with 698 yards (11.6 per carry) and six touchdowns. Defensively, he had 49 tackles, which led all Pahokee defensive backs.
