The Countdown is On

Four-star Brandon Thompson hasn't been the easiest prospect to get a hold of in recent weeks, but talked with him extensively Thursday evening.

After making numerous visits and attending several camps this summer Brandon Thompson appears ready to make his decision about his college destination. The four-star defensive tackle told Thursday he plans to let the college football world know of his future plans in the next few weeks.

"I am just about ready," he said. "I am still planning to make my decision this month. I should have a decision in the next couple of weeks.

When asked about his current leader, Thompson responded, "They are all about even. I am looking at Clemson, Miami, Georgia Tech and Florida State."

How does Thompson plan to make this important decision?

"I am just going to sit down with my family and decide which school is the best place for me," replied Thompson. "Right now I don't plan to have a press conference. I am just going to call the coaches when I am ready to make my commitment."

Clemson verbal commitment A.J. Harmon is working hard to get Thompson to join him in Tigertown.

"A.J. calls a lot actually," Thompson said. "He wants me to jump on board. He tells me Clemson is the best place to be."

Thompson added that he is done with visits.

"Yeah I think I am done with my visits," said Thompson. "I don't think I'll be going anywhere else." currently ranks Thompson as the No. 23 defensive tackle prospect in the country.
