4-Star OL Sets Official Visit to Clemson

4-star offensive lineman Bobby Massie has set his first official visit, which will be to Clemson later this year. Is the big tackle ready to go on the record with a favorite? CUTigers.com has the latest information on the top lineman in this recruiting update.

OL Bobby Massie Profile

Virginia native Bobby Massie has set his first official visit in the recruiting process.

"I have set one official visit," he said. "I have set one with Clemson. I will be going to Clemson the first weekend in December."

When asked about his current favorites, Massie responded, "I don't have any favorites. Everybody is even. It is still Clemson, Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Georgia. Nobody is leading right now.

"I will take official visits to the other top four schools. I don't have the dates set yet."

Massie is expecting big things from Lynchburg Christian Academy this season.

"It is going good. We just got finished practice about 20 minutes ago. I am playing right tackle and nose guard. We are still coming together as a team. We have some new guys at different positions. We have a good chance at winning the state if we do what we need to do," said Massie.

Which team is recruiting Massie the hardest?

"Clemson is right now," replied the star lineman.

Clemson assistant coach/recruiting coordinator Billy Napier is working hard to convince Massie that he should be running the hill in a few years.

"He tells me how he feels Clemson is the right place for me. Clemson can help me with all the academic support they have. I can come in and play early on the offensive or defensive line. It is a good situation. Clemson is a small town without a lot of distractions. It is a good place to concentrate of school and football," said Massie.

Don't expect an early decision from the prize recruit.

"I will probably make my decision around January," said Massie.

Saturday practices may make it difficult for the Lynchburg Christian standout to see the game day experiences at his favorites this fall.

"I hope to make it to some games. It may be hard since we practice on Saturday," added Massie.
