Weather Outlook: FSU vs. Clemson

WCTV Chief Meteorologist Mike "WeatherNole" McCall out of Tallahassee, Florida offers readers his take on the weather conditions for Thursday night's game versus the Florida State Seminoles at Doak Campbell stadium. One thing is for sure, the forecast looks much better now than it did earlier in the week.

Florida State vs. Clemson Thursday, October 3rd, 7:45pm

First of all - let's be grateful that Hurricane Lili will not have a direct impact on the weather for the game. That being said, let's hope that the folks on Louisiana and/or Texas come out of this one okay.

The weather in Tallahassee should be much more docile than what it might have been had Lili come anywhere near us. Instead, we're stuck with oppressive summer-like heat and humidity. If there is any real effect from "Lili", it might actually be a "drying out" of our area. Thursday in Tallahassee should see a normal "summery" day, with hot temperatures, a fair amount of humidity, and partly cloudy skies. The high is expected to be near 90 degrees. And with the humidity, it'll feel more like 95 degrees during the afternoon. The rain chance should actually be pretty low - no more than 20%.

By gametime, the rain chance will start to drop even more, as most of what showers there are, will begin to dissipate after sunset. Look for a kickoff temperature in the low 80's. It will be a bit breezy with winds from the southeast at 10 to 15 mph and gusty. Top Stories
