The Clemson Tigers may get one of the final official visits from this four-star running back from the Sunshine state. CUTigers.com has the latest in this recruiting update.

RB Carlton Thomas Profile

5-9, 175 pound running back Carlton Thomas is having an outstanding senior season.

"My season is going good," he said. "So far we are 2-1. I have 538 yards and three touchdowns so far."

Thomas has taken one official visit and has two other planned.

"Right now I have two official visits planned for October. I am going to Iowa on October 12th. I am going to West Virginia on October 20th. I have already taken an official visit to Notre Dame," said Thomas.

The Tigers will likely get one of the remaining official visits.

"I am thinking about Georgia, Clemson or Rutgers for the other visits," said Thomas.

A decision could come quickly after the final official visit.

"I will make my decision after I take all of my visits. As soon as I get back from the final visit I will sit down and evaluate the visits. Then I will make my decision," said Thomas.

Which team is recruiting the speedster the hardest at this time?

"I would say Notre Dame is right now," replied Thomas.

When asked about his current leaders, Thomas responded, "I don't have one right now. My top five would be Iowa, West Virginia, Clemson, Georgia and Notre Dame."

What will be important to the 4-star running back when he selects his college destination?

"I will look at the situation as far as playing time. I will see how much interest they are in having me. I will see if they will let me play my position of running back," he added.

Clemson will likely sign two or three running backs in the 2008 class. The Tigers already have a verbal commitment from the top running back in South Carolina, four-star prospect Andre Ellington (Berkeley).
