4-star safety Spencer Adams will take his official visit to Clemson this weekend.

"I am coming down this weekend for my official visit," he said. "I have moved the visit up. I will be coming with my mom and my sister."

The official visit date has moved up for Adams so that he can get the recruiting process completed.

"I am just trying to wrap things up. I want to see where my top schools stand. I may go to State for an official on January 18 if I haven't already made a decision," he said.

What are the chances that he decides to commit during the visit this weekend. "I am not really trying to. I will only do it if I feel like I know it's the only place for me. It could happen, but I don't feel like it will," replied Adams.

Earlier this week Adams met with several coaches from Clemson when coach Napier, coach Koenning and assistant track coach Charles Foster stopped by Charlotte.

"It went really well. We talked about the track aspect of things. We talked about how things will work out if I go there. We talked about the chances of me playing early at Clemson," said Adams.

Early playing time is not critical to Adams.

"If I come in and work hard I think I have a good chance. It is not real high on my priority list. I don't want to go out there until I know I belong out there. If I am ready and can benefit the team then I will be out there. I just want to go down and work as hard as I can," said the Butler standout.

The two sport star also said he is glad the recruiting process is almost complete.

"I wouldn't say I'm ready to get it over, but it does get old. I am not going to let that push me into making a decision. At first the process is real fun, but it gets old," said Adams.

The talented defender said he's looking forward to seeing things from a players' perspective this weekend.

"I just want to talk with some of the players. I want to see what student life is like. I will talk to them and see what they think Clemson has to offer," said Adams.

Who will be Adam's player host during the visit?

"I am not sure who my host will be. I think it may be Jacoby Ford," replied Adams.
