4-Star End Looking Around

Earlier this year one of the top defenders in Georgia committed to Florida State. However now, that commitment has softened over the past few months and other schools are in line to get official visits. Will the Tigers get one? CUTigers.com has all the details in this recruiting update.

DE Keith Wells Profile

6-5, 210 pound Keith Wells has been committed to Florida State, but he plans to take several more visits to make sure he wants to be a Seminole.

"I am still committed, but I am basically trying to be 100 percent sure. After all of my visits I will sit down and do a reevaluation. If I feel like Florida State is not the best place for me then I won't be there," said Wells.

The talented defender has already taken two official visits.

"I have visited Ohio State and Auburn. They were all right. They were pretty good visits," said Wells.

Ohio State: "I liked the coaches. I liked how close they are to the players."

Auburn: "I enjoyed hanging out with the players and watching them practice."

The Tigers are in the mix for the final official visit.

"I am going to Florida State on January 11 for sure. The week after that I am going to Tennessee. The last visit will be either Clemson or Notre Dame," said Wells.

The 4-star defensive end according to Scout.com could play several positions at the next level.

"Auburn wants me at outside linebacker. Notre Dame and Clemson also want me as outside linebacker. Everyone else wants me as a pass rushing defensive end," said Wells.

Does the prize recruit have a preference?

"Yeah, I think I will be better putting my hand in the dirt and pass rushing. I have shown how versatile I am. That is why schools like Auburn are in it because they want me to show my versatility," replied Wells.

What does Wells have planned for the holidays?

"I am just going to chill and hang out with my friends," said Wells.
