Lewis Commits to Tigers

St. Augustine defensive back Carlton Lewis joins his teammate by committing to the Clemson Tigers.

Clemson assistant coach Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers got more good news Sunday night when St. Augustine defensive back Carlton Lewis committed to the Clemson Tigers.

Earlier in the day teammate Rashard Hall had committed to the Tigers.

The 6-3, 190 pound prospect becomes the 19th verbal commitment for the class of 2008 for Clemson.

Lewis selected the Tigers over scholarship offers from South Carolina, Georgia Tech, South Florida and Wake Forest.

The Tigers will get an official visit from Lewis on January 11.

Scout.com currently ranks Clemson's 2008 class at 17th in the nation.
