Tigers Up First

One of the top safeties in the Jacksonville area will travel to Clemson for an official visit in less than two weeks. Which other teams will get an official visit?

The Clemson Tigers are one of a handful of schools being considered by safety Daniel Andrews but as things stand now, he only has one official visit set in stone.

"I am excited about taking some official visits. I am going to Clemson on January 11," said Andrews. "Right now I am also planning on going to Liberty on Jan. 18. I am looking at Miami and Florida for the last two weeks, but those aren't definite yet."

Clemson assistant coach Dabo Swinney has been keeping in touch with Daniel the last couple of weeks.

"I talk to coach Swinney often. We just talk about the family. He asks how things are going. We don't really talk too much about football," said Andrews. "He is a great guy. I like him a lot. My family likes him a lot."

Daniel and five-star teammate Jamie Harper still plan to play together at the next level.

"Jamie and I still want to go to the same school," said Andrews. "I am going to go down and watch Jamie at the All American game. I will probably go down Friday then stay and watch him play Saturday."

Could a decision come during one of his visits or will he take all of his visits first?

"It could be coming up pretty soon. I could make it on one of my visits," replied Andrews. "I don't really have a leader right now but we will see."
