S/WR Jaron Brown Profile

6-2, 190 pound wide receiver/safety prospect Jaron Brown (Cheraw, S.C.) will join several of his former Shrine Bowl teammates at Clemson this weekend for an official visit.

"I am going to Clemson this weekend," said Brown. "I am going to visit South Carolina on January 15 and my final visit will be to Michigan on January 25. Those are the only three right now."

When asked about his current leader, Brown responded, "I have no leader right now. I am just waiting around for my official visits. Clemson had a couple of commitments at the safety position over the past week so that has me thinking about some things."

The Tigers have been recruiting Brown as an athlete who could play receiver or safety. That could change with the recent commitments at safety.

"I want to play receiver in college. If Clemson lets me play receiver that would help their chances," said Brown.

What will be important to Brown when he makes his final decision?

"I really will look at playing time and the depth chart at receiver. I will look at how the depth chart changes between the years. I will also look at the coaching staff and the overall academics," replied Brown.

A final decision will likely come at the end of January.

"I will probably try to wait. I am going to probably take all of my visits and then make a decision," said Brown.
