6-3, 275 pound defensive tackle Jeremy Lewis will head to Clemson later this week for an official visit.

"I am going to Clemson this weekend," he said. "This will be my first trip to Clemson. I am coming up by myself."

What does the Sunshine state standout want to see this weekend in Tigertown?

"I want to learn about the academics. I want to see the coaches. I want to see what the people and the environment are like," said Lewis.

Lewis, who has already visited LSU and Tennessee and is currently ranked as the No. 50 defensive tackle in the country by Scout.com, says he'll take at least one more visit is planned before signing day.

"I am not sure where I will go on the 18th. I want to take a visit, but I'm not sure who it will be. At the end of the month I am going to Miami," said Lewis.

Last spring the prize recruit committed to Miami. Where does he stand with his commitment to the Canes?

"I am still verbally committed to Miami. I just want to look around a little bit," replied Lewis.

What would it take for another team to overtake the Hurricanes?

"I don't even know. I am just doing the recruiting thing. We will see how it goes," replied Lewis.

A final decision could come at any time from the top defender.

"I am not even sure when I will be ready. It could come at any time," said Lewis.
