RB Jamie Harper Profile

CUTigers.com spoke with Jamie Harper after his official visit to Clemson this weekend. Here is the entire conversation:

Can you talk about your official visit and what you did during your time on campus?
Harper: The visit was awesome. I thought it was going to be a little warmer up here. The chemistry among all the players was great. It seemed like the whole town was walking downtown and everyone was like, "C.J. [Spiller] you brought Jamie?" They all knew him. I've been up two or three times so it felt like another home for me. The one thing is I got a better mindset of Clemson, the players and coaches this time though.

Who came with you on your trip?
Harper: Daniel Andrews and his grandfather and his two sisters.

What were some of the highlights?
Harper: Probably the banquet on Saturday night. It was good how everyone did skits of coaches. Everyone made us feel welcome. Also playing video games with players was cool.

How would you rate the visit on a scale of one to 10?
Harper: Probably an eight because of the weather. Weather will not be an impact in my decision though. You can write that down.

How did your conversations go with the coaching staff?
Harper: I went from coach to coach. They tell you to make the best decision for you. It is the biggest decision of your life. After that it is like you are already there. They ran through some plays with me which was cool.

Did you hear about any verbal commitments this weekend?
Harper: Daniel Andrews committed.

Did you commit during the visit?
Harper: No.

When do you plan to make your decision?
Harper: Probably signing day. There is always a chance it could come sooner.

Did the visit help Clemson's chances of signing you?
Harper: Definitely.

Do you know when coach Bowden plans an in-home visit?
Harper: Next Wednesday they are supposed to come down.

Jamie Harper is currently rated as a five-star prospect and is listed as the No. 5 running back in the country according to Scout.com.

He is scheduled to visit Florida and Miami in the next two weeks.
