4-star safety Spencer Adams, a Clemson verbal commitment and one of the top defensive backs in the south, is fresh off of playing the Under Armour All American Game last weekend.

"It was a real fun experience," he said of his trip to Orlando. "It was a chance to go up against great competition all week. I had a good chance to get to know the guys. It was a different environment. It was more like a college game."

The future Clemson track and football star showed his speed with a second half interception and nice return.

"It was one of the easiest interceptions I have had. Brandon Harris tipped the ball up. He broke on the slant. I was kind of mad I didn't return it for a touchdown. One of the linemen tripped me up," said Adams.

The time in Orlando allowed Adams to spend time with several of his future teammates, including QB Kyle Parker, CB Xavier Brewer and DE Daquan Bowers.

"Kyle is a real cool guy. I talked to him a good bit. Bowers is real funny. He tries to be serious, but he is a clown. Xavier is real cool. He can play real good," said Adams.

Adams says he also feels good about the chances of Brandon Thompson joining his as a Tiger.

"He is coming. He is just making it difficult. He will be going to Clemson," said Adams.

Bowers also made a big impression on Adams.

"He surprised everyone down there. He is so physical. He wanted to play running back, but he didn't get to," said Adams.

Some rumors have been circulating in recent days that Adams may not be firm with Clemson. How firm is Spencer's commitment to Clemson at the present time?

"I am firm with Clemson," said Adams. "This week has been crazy because I had a virus all week. I have been sick for the past few days. I am just going to relax for a while now. We have a track meet next week. I am trying to get healthy as quick as I can." Top Stories
