S Daniel Andrews Profile
After a great weekend for his only official visit of the recruiting process thus far, Florida native Daniel Andrews had seen all he needed to see.
"I'm committed to Clemson," he said. "I am glad I got it behind me. I can take it easy now. The visit was a blast. I had a lot of fun. I got to know the coaches pretty well.
"The connection between the coaches and the players looked real well. They said they need some freshmen safeties to come in and be impact players, play on the special teams and try to get into the rotation. So hopefully I can do that."
Andrews, who is the teammate of five-star running back Jamie Harper, becomes the 19th verbal commitment in the Tigers' 2008 recruiting class.
He is also considering visits to Florida and Miami.
Andrews was hosted this weekend by Clemson wide receiver Tyler Grisham.
"My and Tyler got along real well," he said. "But the highlight of the weekend had to be the banquet. the banquet was probably the highlight. Willy [Korn] did some impressions of all the coaches. It was funny."
Andrews had one more comment before wrapping up his interview with CUTigers.
"Next I am going to work on Jamie," he said.
