4 Star Safety Still Likes Clemson

One of the top defensive prospects in metro-Atlanta is Avery Roberson from Atlanta's Booker T. Washington. Roberson, 6-2 and 180 pounds, is being recruited to play safety, but this season he is playing outside linebacker for Washington High School.

This four-year starter has another position preference at the next level. "I actually want to play cornerback," said Roberson. "But the bottom line is just playing. Most schools like me as a safety."

This weekend, Roberson and his two teammates, Jeramie Johnson (CB) and Jarvis Jackson (LB), will go to the Georgia Tech (vs. UVA) game and next week they will go to South Carolina (vs. Tennessee).

"Right now, my favorite teams are Georgia Tech, Mississippi State and Clemson. I also like Auburn and Florida State. We (Jeramie and Jarvis) would like to all go to the same college. We'll see what happens."

Roberson plans on setting up his visits after the season. They are 6-1 and face McNair High School (I will be at the game... scouting reports on Monday) tonight. On the season, Roberson has 40 tackles and one interception.
