4-Star TE Planning Clemson Trip

The Clemson Tigers will get an official visit from a 4-star player currently committed to Georgia. Where does he stand with his commitment to the Dawgs? Which other schools will get an official visit? CUTigers.com has the details in this recruiting report.

TE Dwayne Allen Profile

The Clemson coaching staff is making a late push for four-star tight end Dwayne Allen.

"Coach Rumph came by the school yesterday," he said. "We had a good visit. Right now I am going to visit Clemson on the 25th.

Several other visitors have stopped by to see Allen this week.

"A coach from North Carolina came by tonight (Thursday). It went well. It was their first in-home visit with my mom. Coach Bobo from Georgia also came by yesterday," he said.

Two other ACC schools will also get official visits.

"I am going to North Carolina this weekend. I will go to Virginia Tech on February 2," said Allen.

When asked about his commitment status with Georgia, Allen responded, "I am still committed to Georgia."

When will the Under-Armour All American have a final decision?

"It will be February 6," replied Allen. "I am looking for an offense that uses the tight end a good bit. Like they do at Georgia, Florida State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Clemson."

Allen also said he's looking forward to getting to know Clemson recruiting coordinator Billy Napier better when he visits Clemson.

"I don't know him real well. He is a cool guy to get along with. I will see how it goes on the visit," said Allen.
