4-Star TE Ready for Clemson Trip

CUTigers.com checks in with another four-star prospect scheduled to visit the Tigers.

TE Dwayne Allen Profile

Clemson will get its chance to impress 4-star tight end Dwayne Allen this weekend when the current Georgia commitment takes an official visit to Tigertown.

"I am going to Clemson this weekend," Allen told CUTigers.com in a recent interview. "I want to see everything. I just want to get a good feel for the place. I am also still going to Virginia Tech on February 2."

Allen said Chuck Amato from Florida State visited him this week at school- but that's it.

"I just had one coach come by this week. Coach Amato came by from Florida State. He came by on Monday. It went well. He just came by the school to watch my basketball practice," said Allen.

Georgia filled their open position for a tight ends coach by hiring John Lilly away from Florida State. Does that hire help the Bulldogs' chances of signing the Shrine Bowl standout?

"Me and coach Lilly are cool. Let me put it this way, it doesn't encourage me not to go to Georgia," said Allen.

When asked if he is now more firm with his commitment to Georgia, Allen responded, "No comment."

A final decision is planned for right after his final visit.

"I am going to decide on the Monday before signing day," said Allen.
