Rising Up

After the verbal commitments of Brandon Thompson and Kenneth Page, Clemson's class is now ranked No. 15 in Scout.com's recruiting rankings.

With the latest additions of three-star offensive guard Kenneth Page and four-star defensive tackle Brandon Thompson, Clemson's 2008 recruiting class is now ranked 15th in Scout.com's latest team rankings.

The good news is Clemson is still actively pursuing a handful of highly ranked prospects, including five-star running back Jamie Harper, three-star offensive lineman Ben Jones, three-star wide out Jaron Brown, four-star linebacker Jerrell Harris and four-star offensive lineman Antoine McClain, among others.

The Tigers are also expecting four official visitors this weekend, including current verbal commitments Branden Ford and Andre Ellington. Both Ellington and Ford remain firm in their commitments.

In addition, tight end Dwayne Allen, a current verbal commitment to Georgia, and four-star offensive lineman Bobby Massie, who will be heading to Hargrave next year, are also expected on campus.

In other words, even if other teams move up past the Tigers in the coming weeks, with the addition of any more three, four or five-star prospects, Clemson's recruiting class could easily be ranked higher by National Signing Day on Feb. 6.

Clemson's No. 15 ranking is third in the ACC, trailing Florida State (No. 9) and Miami (No. 4).
