TE Dwayne Allen Profile
Dwayne Allen made an official visit to Clemson over the weekend and came away very impressed.
"It was cool," he said. "It is a nice university. It is a unique place for people that are Clemson people."
What was the highlight of the visit for the 4-star tight end?
"Oh man, it was just chillin with my boy Miguel Chavis. I love that boy to death. It was great," replied Allen.
Allen and Chavis are more than former teammates.
"We are like brothers," said Allen.
When asked to rate the visit on a scale of one to 10, Allen responded, "No comment."
The staff rolled out the orange carpet for the prize recruit.
"It went great. I had the opportunity to talk with coach Bowden, coach Rumph and coach Napier. I really talked with pretty much the whole staff. Coach Bowden has done a great job of putting together a great staff," said Allen.
Clemson offensive coordinator Rob Spence also spent time with Allen discussing how they use the tight end at Clemson.
"He really opened my eyes to the Clemson offense. At first I didn't think the tight ends at Clemson caught many balls. After watching some film and going over some things with him I found out differently," said Allen.
The Allen household will be filled with coaches making their final pitch this week. Coach Beamer and coach Davis are in today [Monday]. Georgia head coach Mark Richt will try to keep Allen committed to the Dawgs when he visits on Thursday.
Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden will get the final visit on Friday.
