"I had some problems this weekend and couldn't take the trip up to Tennessee," three-star offensive lineman Ben Jones told Sunday morning. "I still have Miami next weekend and I'm planning on going to that one."

Jones, who told CUTigers last week he was favoring Clemson and Miami, said that's still the case today.

"It is. Clemson and Miami are my top two," he said. "I really don't have a favorite. I'm not ready to go public with anything yet. I want to see how everything goes after this next trip."

Jones confirmed the Clemson coaching staff has said he could play on either side of the line if he signs with the Tigers.

"Clemson is recruiting me as a defensive tackle but they also said if I can get on the field earlier on the O-line then I can get a look there too," he said. "I haven't really played much defense in high school so we'll see."

One thing working in the Hurricanes' favor is the fact that six of his former teammates at Miami's Northwestern High are currently playing at Miami.

"That does give them somewhat of an upside," Jones admitted. "My former teammates are there. I would love to play with them again. But then again I would like to be my own man and stand on my own two feel and do my own thing." Top Stories
