Stitt Out Two Weeks

Demontez Stitt underwent successful arthroscopic surgery Thursday afternoon to repair torn cartilage in a knee.

He is expected to miss two weeks of action following the surgery.

The freshman point guard from Matthews, NC has started all 20 games this season, averaging 8.9 points and 3.1 assists per game.

"Demontez suffered the injury in practice yesterday," Clemson head coach Oliver Purnell said. "The prognosis is he'll be out about two weeks. Obviously this is a big loss for us, but thankfully only for a short period of time. This means everyone now has to hitch up their belt, so that as a team we can make up for his absence as we continue to compete in the ACC."
