The Clemson Tigers and assistant coach Brad Scott are targeting another talented prospect from Blythewood High. Who are the Tigers battling for this top defensive end? Will his former coach have any impact on his decision? CUTigers.com has the latest.

DE Justin Anderson Profile

6-4, 225 pound junior defensive end Justin Anderson is hearing from a number of schools early on, including the Clemson Tigers.

"I don't have any offers yet," he told CUTigers.com in a recent interview. "I am hearing from a number of schools. I am hearing from coach Rumph at Clemson, coach O'Cain at Virginia Tech and South Carolina."

Two junior days are planned in the near future.

"I am going to junior day at South Carolina on February 2. I am also planning to go to junior day at Clemson," said Anderson.

What will the Palmetto state standout consider when selecting his college destination?

"I will look at how the coaches treat the players. I will look at the football program. I will look at the weight room and the facilities. I just will see how I like it," replied Anderson.

Former Blythewood head coach Jeff Scott will be a graduate assistant at Clemson next year. Will that give the Tigers and advantage?

"I like Coach Scott a lot, but nah, I don't think that it will have much of an impact," replied Anderson.

Don't expect an early commitment from the junior defensive end.

"I want to wait until next year. I am going to ride it out. I will see how it goes," said Anderson.
