Tigers Among Early Offers for GA WR

One of the top receivers in Georgia is hearing from a number of top programs including the Clemson Tigers. What stops have been on the visit tour the past few weeks?

WR Jamal Patterson Profile

6-2, 190 pound wide receiver prospect Jamal Patterson already has an impressive offer list as teams turn their attention to the 2009 class.

"Right now I have offers from Army, Stanford, North Carolina, South Carolina, Wake Forest, Florida, Clemson, Purdue, Indiana, Troy, Central Florida and Kentucky. I am getting mail from a lot of other schools," Patterson told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

When asked if he has any current favorites, Patterson responded, "No, I am open. I went to South Carolina two weeks ago. It was a nice visit. It was great up there. I like their style of offense. I liked the facilities.

"Then I went to Wake Forest last weekend. It was real nice. It was like their own little town. They take care of you like family."

Several other visits are planned for the next few months.

"I am going to Central Florida this week. I am going to Georgia on March 22. I am going to Louisville on April 5. I am also going to the Scout Southeast combine on April 27. When other letters come in they notify me when the junior days are," said Patterson.

What will be important to the prize recruit when he selects his college destination?

"I will look at the academics. I will look at the style of offense they play. I will look at how the coaching staff treats you," replied Patterson.

Don't expect an early commitment from the star receiver.

"I will probably wait until my last game of my senior year. It will be sometime in my senior year," said Patterson.
