WR Marlon Brown Profile
6-5, 200 pound wide receiver Marlon Brown already has built an impressive offer list.
"I have 13 offers right now. I am also hearing from a number of other schools," said Brown. "Florida just offered me the other day. I have an offer from Southern Cal and from Florida State too."
The mailbox is full every day for the prize recruit.
"I get a lot of mail pretty much every day. I get about 30 to 40 letters a day. I will read five or 10. I just randomly open some of them each day," said Brown.
"I have not been on any visits yet. I have some plans for the spring. I am probably going to Kentucky in March. I will also visit Southern California and Stanford this spring. I also want to go to UT and Florida."
When asked if he has any current favorites, Brown responded, "No sir, not yet. I am going to try to narrow things down this summer, but I'm not sure that will happen. It may be next season before I do."
Which schools are recruiting the Tennessee standout the hardest right now?
"Notre Dame, Illinois, Stanford, Tennessee, Southern California, Florida, Auburn, Clemson and Kentucky are right now," replied Brown.
The two sport standout is hearing from a number of schools that would allow him to play basketball and football.
"A lot of schools will let me play both. Southern California, Illinois, Tennessee, Memphis, Stanford, Kentucky, Florida State, Florida and Clemson all say I can play both," said Brown.
Does the star athlete prefer one sport over the other?
"I think I am going to do both in college. If I do better in basketball I will stick with that. If I do better in football I will stay with that," replied Brown.
Brown had 41 receptions for 861 yards and six touchdowns during his junior season. He also added 58 carries for 629 yards and 10 more scores.
