The Clemson Tigers picked up a verbal commitment from one of the nation's top sophomore receivers Saturday when Calhoun Falls standout Martavis Bryant gave his pledge to the Clemson coaching staff.

The future five-star receiver becomes the first 2010 commitment for the Tigers.

Bryant was clocked at 4.41 at the Scout.com combine earlier this year.

The 6-4, 173 pound wide out is considered one of the top prospects in the nation for the class of 2010.

As a sophomore Bryant caught 47 passes for 803 yards and three touchdowns. He also returned eight kicks for 208 yards and eight punts for 107 yards and had 18 tackles as a cornerback.
