Top GA WR Visiting Clemson Saturday

One of the top receivers in Georgia will visit Clemson on Saturday as the Tigers hit the field for the first time this spring. has all the details in this recruiting update.

6-2, 190 pound wide receiver prospect Jamal Patterson will finally travel to Clemson this weekend to watch the Tigers open spring practice.

Patterson was supposed to visit Tigertown for Junior Day, but he had to reschedule his trip due to a track meet.

"This week I am going to Clemson," he told in a recent interview. "I am going to Clemson to see their practice on Saturday. I will be going to Georgia on the 22nd. I'm looking forward to both trips."

Last weekend the Georgia standout visited Tennessee.

"It was good a trip," he said. "That was my first time going to Tennessee. I hadn't made contact with the for like three months because of their coaching changes.

"I was up that way for the Addidas camp. We took pictures for the All American team. After that we stayed up there for Junior Day. I got to meet with my recruiting coordinator. The wide receiver coach pulled me aside and talked to me. He offered me a scholarship. Coach Clausen also talked with me and I got a chance to talk with coach Fulmer."

When asked about his current favorites in the recruiting process, Patterson responded, "I don't have any right now. I am keeping it open. I want to go see all of the campuses for the schools I like right now."

The commitment timing is not clear at this time for the top junior.

"I can't even say. I am not sure when I will be ready to do that," said Patterson.

Which teams are recruiting Patterson the hardest at this time?

"Clemson, Georgia, Southern California, Stanford, Central Florida and Wake are right now," replied Patterson.

Patterson, who also runs track for Henry County (Ga.), caught 44 passes for 933 yards and 11 touchdowns during his junior season. Top Stories
