GA WR Calls Clemson Trip "Amazing"

One of the top receivers in the Peach state visited Clemson this past weekend for the Tigers' first practice of spring ball. Read on to find out more about his trip and what's in store for him next.

6-2, 190 pound receiver Jamal Patterson traveled to Clemson to watch the Tigers open spring practice on Saturday.

"It was amazing," he told afterwards. "The campus is beautiful. I was able to go to the receiver meeting with coach Swinney."

"I got to watch the plays at practice. I spent pretty much the whole day with coach Swinney. He had to leave to go attend another recruit's parent's funeral. After he left I got to spend time with coach Spence," said Patterson.

Head coach Tommy Bowden also spent time with Patterson and his father during the visit.

"I also got to talk with coach Bowden. My dad and I spent about 45 minutes talking with him in his office. He gave us the full package of what Clemson has to offer," said Patterson.

How did his father enjoy the visit?

"My dad loved it also," replied Patterson.

When asked about his current favorites, Patterson responded, "I don't have any favorites. I want to see a lot of the schools first."

The next trip will be to Athens.

"I am going to Georgia on March 22nd. I have a big track meet this week so I won't go anywhere then," said Patterson. Top Stories
