After a recent visit to Clemson University, 6-3, 250 pound Tyler Shatley is keeping in close touch with Clemson assistant coach/recruiting coordinator Billy Napier.
"I have been calling coach Napier and talking with him a good bit. He tells me he wants me to come down for spring practice sometime. I plan to go, but I'm not sure when," said Shatley.
The East Burke standout plans to take some more visits over the next few weeks.
"I haven't been on any other visits. I am thinking I may go somewhere this weekend. We are not sure yet. We have called State, Wake and Carolina about a visit. We may not go anywhere this weekend, but I definitely will next weekend for sure," said Shatley.
Which school is recruiting the prize recruit the hardest right now?
"It would probably be Clemson," replied Shatley.
The talented athlete has taken his skills to the track for the spring.
"Right now I am running track. I am doing the shot, the disc and running the 100 and 200," said Shatley.
The summer camp plans are not clear yet.
"I am not sure yet. I am going to wait and see," said Shatley.
A decision could come from the North Carolina standout over the next few weeks.
"It is still about the same. I am thinking I may do something this summer," said Shatley.
