T.O.'s ACC Tournament Diary (DAY III)

CHARLOTTE – Each day while Clemson is in Charlotte preparing for the ACC Tournament, Tigers freshman guard Terrence Oglesby will give CUTigers.com an exclusive account of what he's been doing on a daily basis and what his thoughts are about those experiences.

We had breakfast at 10 (Friday morning) and then we had study hall again. After that we had we had a little bit of time off and then we had more food. Then we headed back to Queens University for a shootaround and we did a lot of scouting today because we had such a short time to prepare for Boston College. We ended up taking that all in very well.

After shootaround we had our pregame meal and we had a couple of hours to relax before we headed over to the game about 7:45 (p.m.). But I didn't handle the downtime well. I can't just sit around and do nothing or I feel it and it takes me a while into the game to get it out of my system.

I actually fell into it and you could see it by the way I played today. I don't think I played very well at all. I'm really disappointed. It's one of the worst games I've played since I've been here. I didn't make good decisions, I didn't shoot the ball well, there were a couple of rebounds I should've gotten, but I just didn't go all the way in. I did a poor job of handling my pregame stuff today and I think it showed.

Watching my teammates the last five minutes of the game was a great feeling, especially when Matt Morris comes in there and does work. He goes in and shoots the ball well with his little fade-away jumper and Karolis (Petrukonis) got to play. He's my roommate on all the trips and stuff, so I'm glad that he got in there and did a good job. It was just a relaxed atmosphere. Everybody was feeling good. It's a good time when we're up. But it's a good thing we could beat them like that so we could rest our players for (Saturday).

But I'm not worried about (the quick turnaround). I think we're going to do fine. We're going to have time tomorrow morning and we've got a game at 3:30 (p.m.) and after that we get rest for Sunday's game (if we beat Duke). We'll be ready and we're just looking forward to the opportunity. You only get four ACC Tournaments in your life and it's something that we really need to cherish and take advantage of while we're here.
