Dukes Still Firm with Clemson

Marion Dukes is one of the top offensive linemen in the state of South Carolina this year, and the Clemson commitment was rewarded for his good work with a selection to the Shrine Bowl in December. How is that commitment holding up?

Dukes is planning on taking a couple of visits to finish the recruiting process, but it doesn't look like Clemson fans have need to worry.

"My recruiting has calmed down a little bit since I made my commitment to Clemson," said Dukes.

"South Carolina and Georgia are still after me, and I'll probably set up a visit to both of them. I don't want to waste them," Dukes added with a laugh. "I'm still pretty firm to Clemson though."

Dukes' Pickens team finished the regular season 9-1 and will play against Greer this weekend in the first round of the playoffs.

Dukes committed to the Tigers back on October 16th, "Clemson has always been home for me, and when I was little I always wanted to be a Tiger. I had the chance, why blow it? I wanted to think more about the rest of our season here and concentrate on my school work too," said Dukes on the day of his commitment.

Dukes will likely have the opportunity to challenge on the two deep depth chart at either guard or tackle next year.
