FB Tyler Shatley Profile
6-3, 260 pound Tyler Shatley visited Clemson on Wednesday to see the Tigers practice and learn more about Clemson University.
"It was a good visit," he told CUTigers.com. "I went down with my parents and my sister. They had a good time also.
"We just hung around with a couple of the players and watched them practice. They do a lot of drills and get a lot done at practice. It is a lot quicker pace."
Clemson assistant coach Billy Napier talked some with the top North Carolina prospect during the visit.
"We just talked about the same ole stuff. He talked to me about how they run practice. He introduced me to some players," said Shatley. "Mainly stuff like that."
The trip allowed Tyler to get more academic information about Clemson.
"I talked to one of the engineering professors. I got some information on that. I am interested in Civil engineering," said Shatley.
In just a few weeks the two-way standout will be back in Tigertown.
"I am going to go back to Clemson for their spring game," said Shatley.
When asked about possible timing on a verbal commitment, Shatley responded, "I have narrowed it down a little bit. It will be either Clemson or N.C. State. I am not sure when I will make a commitment. It will just be when the feeling is right."
The Pack may get another visit soon from the East Burke (N.C.) standout.
"Hopefully I will get to State sometime soon also," said Shatley.
As a junior Shatley rushed for 1,209 yards and 18 touchdowns.
