CB Terry Shankle Profile

6-0, 180 pound cornerback Terry Shankle traveled to Clemson last week to see how the Tigers handle spring practice.

"It was nice," he said afterwards. "We got to see spring practice. I came up with my teammate James Watkins, coach Scott and coach Little."

Coach Bowden took time to talk with the prize recruit during the visit.

"I got to talk with coach Bowden and coach Napier. They asked if I was going to come up for the spring game. I don't know yet if I will or not. I will have to see what is going on that weekend," said Shankle.

The South Stanly (N.C.) standout has an impressive offer list, including a recent offer from the Tigers.

"I have eight offers right now. I have offers from Tennessee, Texas A&M, Florida, South Carolina, Clemson, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Alabama," said Shankle.

When asked about his current favorites, Shankle responded, "I don't have any yet. I will probably narrow things down this summer. I want to visit all of the schools first," said Shankle.

"I was supposed to go to State this week, but I will probably go next week for their spring game."

What will be important when Shankle narrows the field?

"I just want to find the best place to spend four years of my life. I want to meet the coaches. No matter where I go I will get a good education. I will look for a school that has my major. I don't know what I plan to major in yet. I will figure that out soon," he said.
