Visit Rescheduled for Top RB

The top running back in North Carolina for the class of 2009 didn't make it to Clemson over the weekend, but he will be on hand for next weekend's Orange & White game. has all the details on the prize recruit in this recruiting update.

Desmond Scott, the top running back in North Carolina, had hoped to visit Clemson over the weekend but as it turns out, he didn't make the trip.

"Yeah I didn't make it Saturday," he told "I couldn't make it this weekend. My plan is to make it down next week for the spring game."

Two of Scott's Hillside teammates did make the trip to Clemson on Saturday.

"A couple of my teammates did go on Saturday," he said. "Our quarterback Corey Gattis and Nick Stone went down. They said they enjoyed themselves. They really liked the renovations."

The visit tour will pickup steam over the next few months.

"I am definitely going to Florida, but I am not sure of the date. I am going to a combine in New York on May 1 and I am going to drop by Rutgers. I am going to get to Ohio State in June or July," said Scott.

When asked about his current favorites, Scott responded, "I don't really have any. I am going to continue to do research. After I take my visits the favorites will come.

"I am going to narrow it down this summer."

What will be important when Scott picks his college destination?

"I will see what the city can offer me as a young man. I will look at the academic program. I would like to major in education so I will look at their education program. I will look at the football team of course. I will look at how the coaches and the players get along," replied Scott. Top Stories
