6-3, 260 pound fullback/linebacker prospect Tyler Shatley traveled to Clemson on Saturday to watch the annual Orange & White game.

"It was a pretty good visit," he told CUTigers.com afterwards. "I came down with my parents and my sister. We had a good time."

What did Tyler and his family do during the visit to Tigertown?

"We sat around and ate. We talked with the coaches. Then we watched the game," replied Shatley.

"I talked with coach Napier and coach Bowden. I saw a couple of the other coaches, but didn't really talk to them. They just said they were excited to have me down for the game. They said they hoped they could see me play at Clemson."

Is the North Carolina standout getting closer to a commitment?

"I think so. I am getting closer," replied Shatley. "I talked to some of the guys that are already committed. I talked J.K. Jay and Roderick McDowell and that went good."

A few former 5-star prospects stood out to the two-way standout during the Orange & White game.

"C.J. Spiller looked good. He is real quick. Bowers did pretty good, especially to just be a freshman," he said.

One more visit is planned for later this week.

"I am going to Wake Forest on Tuesday or Wednesday," said Shatley.
