Tigers Offer Alabama DE

The Tigers have ventured into to Alabama since the arrival of Dabo Swinney and enjoyed much success, including signing the state's No. 2 player last year in Antoine McClain. Can it happen again?

DE Anthony Orr Profile

Anthony Orr, Scout.com Southeast 150 defensive end from Harvest-Sparkman, (Ala.), received two early offers from the in-state Tide and Tigers.

He now has collected two new offers to add to his list.

"I was offered by Tennessee and Clemson," Anthony Orr said. "I received the Clemson offer Monday, and Tennessee offered me yesterday. I have known for a while Tennessee was going to offer, but I had no idea about Clemson.

"I talked to coach [Dabo] Swinney from Clemson. He said all the coaches watched my film and liked how I play. They want me to come be part of their program.

"I also talked to coach [John] Chavis at Tennessee. He liked the way I play and I would fit in well with their defense.

"I am going to be looking at the campus," he said. "I am looking forward to meeting the coaches and seeing the facilities. I have never met their coaches before."

In a recent interview with Inside the Auburn Tigers (AUTigers.com), Orr revealed, "Not too long ago I was 6-4, 245 pounds, but now I am 6-5, 260 and I think I am still growing," Orr said. "I really don't know how big I am going to be."
