6-2, 220 pound Prince Shembo traded a weekend at the beach during spring break for a trip to Tigertown to watch Clemson's annual spring game. "It was fun," he said. "I liked it a lot. It was thrilling. The game was cool too.

"It was cool seeing DaQuan Bowers. He is huge. He's only been there three months. He looks a lot different than he did at camp last summer. It makes me want to get in the weight room and start working harder. He is a monster."

Prince had the chance to speak with several players during the visit.

"I talked to a couple of players while I was there. I talked to Ricky Sapp and Kourtnei Brown. Kourtnei is a Charlotte native. He said he recognized me from somewhere. We think it was from basketball. We use to play against each other. Ricky was just saying how big I was. He told me to just keep working hard. I also talked with Jock McKissic and Spencer Benton. Spencer came up and started talking to me. We were on the same team at camp last summer," said Shembo.

Several Clemson coaches also talked with the super soph during his visit to Tigertown.

"I got to talk with coach Napier, coach Blackwell, coach West and coach Bowden. They all said how big I had gotten since last year. They asked me about my weight. I am between 215 and 220 right now. Coach Bowden told me to just keep working hard," said Shembo.

A return trip to the Tommy Bowden Football camp is planned for June.

"I am going down for camp again this summer. My teammate Troy Elkin is coming with me to camp. I am also trying to talk Anthony Boone into coming down to camp with me as well. We played together in the seventh grade. He reminds me of a college Jamarcus Russell," said Shembo. Top Stories
