CB/WR Expecting Dozens of Coaches

5-11, 180 pound speedster Branden Smith has seen several college coaches visit his school over the past week.

"Yeah I had a lot of schools come by already," he told CUTigers.com in a recent interview. "Alabama, South Carolina, Stanford and UAB have all came by the school. Notre Dame came by today. They have all be coming by and talking with the coaches and others at school."

The Clemson coaching staff will visit with the 4-star prospect soon.

"Clemson is coming by next week, I think," said Smith.

After visiting several schools earlier this year, Smith has taken a break recently.

"I haven't been any where the last few weeks. I have been taking it easy. I wasn't able to make it to the Scout Elite combine," said Smith. "But I am definitely going to do some camps. I have a calendar I need to setup. I am not sure yet which ones I will attend."

Which teams are recruiting the two-way standout the hardest right now?

"There are a lot of them. I can't really say. Everybody is on me real hard," replied Smith.

The talented athlete will be competing against the best in the state in track next week.

"I just made it to the state in track. Once that is over I will jump over to spring practice. They have already started," said Smith A decision is still months away for the Georgia standout.

"I still plan to wait until after the season," said Smith, the No. 8 cornerback in the country according to Scout.com.
