ATH Stephon Gilmore Profile
The halls of South Pointe High have been filled with coaches from some of the nation's top programs within the last week.
And one of the main prospects causing all of the commotion is star WR/QB/DB Stephon Gilmore.
"Several schools came by last week. Michigan, South Carolina and Ohio State all came by the school," Gilmore said in a recent interview with CUTigers.com. "Clemson has not been by yet. Coach Napier is coming by on Thursday I think."
The prize recruit plans to wait until this summer before taking any more visits, but one combine is planned for Saturday.
"I don't have any visits planned for the next few weeks except the Scout.com Under-Armour combine this week. I will wait until summer to take some visits," said Gilmore.
The Under-Armour All American will attend several camps this summer.
"I am going to go to three camps this summer. I am not sure which ones yet," said Gilmore.
The talented athlete could play several positions on the next level. One of the top programs in the nation wants him as a quarterback.
"Michigan is recruiting me as a quarterback. Clemson, South Carolina and Ohio State want me as a defensive back," said Gilmore.
Which teams are recruiting the Palmetto state standout the hardest right now?
"I would say South Carolina, Clemson and Tennessee. Ohio State is coming on hard now," replied Gilmore.
