Scout/Under-Armour Combine Preview

Over 160 of the top prospects from the Carolinas are scheduled to attend the Combine in Charlotte on Saturday.

Today presents a sneak peak at some of the offensive players that are scheduled to attend Saturday's Combine in Charlotte:

  • 1. OL J.K. Jay
Clemson verabal commitment J.K. Jay will attend the combine, but may not workout. The Under-Armour folks want to get some pictures of the guys that have already committed to play in the Under-Armour All American game in January. Jay remains firm in his commitment to the Tigers and has been recruiting heavily for the orange and white for the last year.

  • 2. RB Marcus Lattimore
The rising junior is expected to show why he is one of the top running backs in the nation for the class of 2010. He will be one of nine players scheduled to attend the combine.

  • 3. WR Jheranie Boyd
Expect Boyd to show why he is one of the top receivers in the southeast. Jheranie recently beat Larry Raper in the 100. Can he beat Raper's 40 time from last years combine, an insane 4.24? We'll find out Saturday.

  • 4. OL Brandon Thomas
One of the top offensive linemen in the Palmetto state will get a chance to go up against some of the top defensive linemen including Clemson verbal commitment Malliciah Goodman. Interestingly enough, the Tigers are the team to beat right now for the Dorman standout.

  • 5. OT Robert Crisp
The rising junior offensive tackle from Chapel Hill, N.C. will be one of the top offensive linemen in the nation for 2010. Is he a lock to stay home and play for the Tar Heels?

  • 6. QB Anthony Boone
The rising junior from Weddington may be one of the top quarterbacks in the Southeast for 2010. first told you about Boone a few months back. Expect Boone to camp at Clemson this summer along with good friend Prince Shembo.

  • 7. Xavier Nixon (Tentative)'s No. 1 offensive lineman and No. 6 player nationally hopes to show why he has offers from every top program in the nation.

  • These are just a few of the top offensive players that are expected to attend. There will also be two 2011 quarterbacks that will be national recruits. Look forward to much more on these two along with a number of other top 2010 and 2011 prospects. will discuss the defensive list tomorrow and it is a who's who list of the top players in the Carolina's.
