Pilgrim Commits to Clemson

One of the Tigers' top prospects on the offensive line gave his verbal commitment to Clemson Saturday. Lilburn, Georgia's Brandon Pilgrim committed to the Tigers over Northwestern, Virginia, and Arkansas.

CUTigers.com spoke with Brandon after the Maryland game Saturday, and he did indeed confirm that he had committed to Clemson earlier in the day.

"I verbally committed earlier today," said Pilgrim. "I'm very excited about it and it looks like I'll be playing as a tackle next season."

Brandon (6'5, 281) is the fifth verbal commitment to the Tigers for the 2003 class, and the third offensive lineman. He is currently listed as a 3-star prospect by TheInsiders.com.

Pilgrim plays for Parkview, one of the top high school football programs in the country. His teammate and fellow offensive lineman Zeb McKinzey, committed to Georgia earlier this year while another prospect in the trenches, OL David Overmyer, continues to weigh all of his options.

Pilgrim, who has been favoring the Tigers for quite some time, has great size and will likely fill out his huge frame at the next level. He moves well and is a very good run blocker.

Brandon chose the Tigers over Virginia, Northwestern, and Arkansas.
